We love in the Hehnly Lab and at the SU BioImaging Center to help out with microscopy such as the sweet experiments included in this study titled “Complex interplay between FMRP and DHX9 during DNA replication stress”. Congrats all Feng Lab and all involved!

ASCB 2023 in Boston with Yiling Lan and Yan Wu

by Heidi Hehnly in ,

Lan and Yan had a great first visit to ASCB/Cell Bio meeting this year where Lan presented a poster and Yiling a talk and a poster! They both did great, met lots of people, and asked great questions. We also got to hang with old friends (Ana Vertii, Hui-Fang Hung, Shashi Kant, and Benedict Delaval) and eat excellent food! We got to also hang out with Syracuse University Patteson and Castaneda Labs. With Alison Patteson (Physics, SU) giving a great talk in the Vimentin section! Overall it was a great trip and we can’t wait to do it again.

Heidi had a great visit to Hamilton College and University of Rochester's BME Department!

It was awesome visiting Hamilton College and University of Rochester BME Department last week to talk about “Centrosome driven mechanisms during tissue morphogenesis”. It was great to make new and meet old friends. It was also my first invited talk where a previous graduate student, Lindsay Rathbun, who is now the Microscopy Core Director at University of Rochester, invited me out to visit which was a special treat.
