It was a pleasure hearing Li-En Jao’s seminar on “Mechanisms of centrosome maturation in vertebrates” yesterday and have him see our beautiful campus here at Syracuse University. Thanks for visiting!
Analytical Resources on the Hill, Sept 12, 2023
The Syracuse University BioImaging Center run by Abrar Aljiboury hosted our first ever symposium introducing some of the “Analytical Resources on the Hill”. In addition we hosted Demo presentations and lectures from Nikon, BioVision (iSIM), Leica, Andor, and Zeiss, along with introductions to resources at SUNY Upstate and SUNY ESF. Abrar’s microscopy laboratory class also got to visit the demonstrations. SU, Keep your eyes peeled for future demonstrations this fall from Nikon and Andor!
Welcome Abdalla Wael Shamil!
Judy Freshour (A.K.A. Angel Hands) hangs up her pipettes.
Judy Freshour, Hehnly Lab manager for the past 8 years, retires. She was a cloning angel, a source of comfort to many a graduate student, and a colleague and friend to me (Heidi). We celebrated her time in the lab with prime rib, gifts, and deserts. She will be missed. She helped me start and build this lab, and I’m so glad that I got to do it with her. Judy, enjoy retirement!
