Congrats Dr. Erica Colicino! You have been an amazing member of the Hehnly Laboratory. While I’m sad to see you move on, I’m excited for you to go out in the world and show science what you can do!
Dr. Colicino gave a great talk on Nov 8, and not only passed her Ph.D. defense but was awarded a degree with honors. I couldn’t be more proud.

I had a super fun time giving a seminar in the Department of Cell and Systems Biology at University of Toronto! Thanks for the invite Dr. Ashley Bruce! I was so impressed by the students and the work being done.
I had a great time visiting UNMC this past Monday (10/22/18) and visiting the Caplan lab and all the other great research groups I got to meet. My favorite part was receiving one of Steve Caplan’s books (shown below) titled a “Degree of Betrayal”. Definitely check his books out, I started reading this one on the way home and its great! I’m so impressed.

Lindsay Rathbun did a great job presenting her work today on the role of cell division in tissue morphogenesis in her new home at Syracuse University’s Biology Department! She also did a splendid job announcing to the University the Hehnly Lab Halloween Party that is coming up on October 27. So excited!
